Where does this coffee come from?

The Kua team visits Uganda every year to work with our farmer partners. We pay the fairest prices on the mountain for the juiciest cherries. All profits put our farmers on a path to climate resilience.. Calculate your impact here.

Is that a single use bag?

This coffee comes in a single-use bag. It’s not as sustainable as our workplace solution, but it is made with recycled materials that are home compostable. Just a note: in buying this, you’re promising us you’ll compost both the bag and used coffee grounds. Our friends at Share Waste can help you out if you don’t have a garden!

Why the stripes?

On this jar are the annual temperatures for Uganda and Australia, for the last hundred years. Side-by-side, crop-to-cup. In Uganda, our changing climate is causing erratic cycles of rain and drought, threatening coffee yields and putting our farmers at risk of devastating landslides. That’s why all profits fund climate resilience initiatives where our coffee is grown.

Can I get a refill?

Your stripe jar is a machine-washable stainless steel with a vacuum seal insert. It guarantees coffee freshness for four weeks and makes a satisfying ‘whooosh’ sound when you close it back up. If you’re based in Sydney, we can arrange a regular refill … eliminating the need for single-use packaging.
