Why settle for good when you can have better?
We take our impact like we take our coffee. Seriously. Here’s what doing better looks like at Kua.

We source from smallholders
They’re people who rely on every crop to support their families and their futures. We source in a way that tackles the biggest challenges they face, from climate change to fair pricing. That means paying above-market rates, prioritising transparency, investing profits back into their regions across Uganda and Mexico, and selecting them based on six key criteria: price, sustainability, climate impact, smallholder status, transparency, and footprint.

We’re better than carbon neutral
Carbon neutral is good. But we’re better than that. Way better. For every kilo of coffee we produce we offset twice the carbon it takes to make it, tracking emissions across farming and production, roasting, shipping, packaging, office operations, and even recycling coffee grounds. That’s 22.34kg of CO2 offset for every 1kg of coffee we produce.

We design for minimal waste
Most coffee waste ends up in landfill. We think it makes more sense in compost. That’s why all Kua packaging is either reusable or home compostable, and the coffee grounds produced by large businesses who use Kua are collected by our partners at Reground and given a second life as garden fodder.
